This formula is Dong Xi-yuan’s Qing dynasty modification of Zhu Dan-xi’s Yuan dynasty Bao He Wan (Protect Harmony Pills). This formula also incorporates the main ingredients of Er Chen Tang (Two Aged [Ingredients] Decoction) from the Song dynasty Tai Ping Hui Min He Ji Ju Fang (Tai Ping Imperial Grace Formulary). Blue Poppy’s version is a 10:1 extract in glycerine tincture form.
Pattern discrimination:
Food stagnation with stomach heat.
Directions:Â 2 droppers full orally every 2-3 hours, not to exceed 6 times daily.
